Bio:
My name is Oceanus Zhang and I am a Quantitative and Systems Biology (QSB) PhD student at UC Merced, in the Computational and Theoretical Biology track. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine and my Master of Public Health in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics from Emory University. My research interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence and genomics, with a focus on leveraging computational approaches to uncover patterns in biological data. Outside of research and work, I love detective novels and scuba diving.
